I have this Portuguese cleaning Lady “Maria” and she is crazy! But she brings me her homemade Portuguese sausages and tales of food and her two strapping boys and husband who keep her busy in the kitchen 24/7. Wow do they like to eat. One day I showed her my website and asked her to check out my recipe for Portuguese BBQ Chicken. She said “ya, looks good, but I don’t know, I just make Shake & Bake”. Well I laughed so hard I practically fell off my chair. This is the same lady who makes her own sausages, wine and always has a pot of soup on the stove. Too funny. Then I thought about how many times I have picked up some chicken or taken some out of the freezer with plans to make something special but come dinner time I was just too tired. So what do I do? Make Shake & Bake Chicken of course. Always a family favourite.
Here’s my recipe
- Preheat Oven to 400 F Degrees
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil
- Add your favourite seasoning to Shake & Bake dry mixture and coat chicken pieces well
- Follow the baking instructions on the package
Serve with store bought or homemade potato salad and corn on the cob.
